Livingston Away - Match Preview

Posted August 15, 2014

MATCH PREVIEW – LIVINGSTON.

Its week 2 of the SPFL Championship and on Saturday we head over the Rover Forth to face Livingston with a 3 p.m. kick off at the Energy Assets Arena.
Both sides had mixed fortunes in last Saturday’s opening games. We of course drew 2-2 with Falkirk at Central Park after twice leading the game.
John McGlynn’s side went down 2-1 to relegated Hibernian at Easter Road with Hibees keeper Mark Oxley scoring a bizarre winner with a long kick out which deceived Darren Jamieson in the Livingston goal.

COWDEN FORM
We are undefeated away from home this season following our 2-1 win over Clyde in the League Cup at Broadwood last month.
In the pre-season build up we also won away from home at Blyth Spartans and Linfield.

LIVINGSTON FORM
After three successive away games Livingston will be playing their first home game of the season.
The Petrofac Training Cup saw a dramatic 4-3 win over fellow Championship side Queen of the South at Palmerston, which saw the Doonhamers 2-0 up early in the second half before the West Lothian side won in extra time.
In the League Cup they drew 0-0 with League 2 Ablion Rovers at Cliftonhill before winning 4-3 on penalties.
