Cowdenbeath Football Club recently completed its first Football Fans in Training (FFiT) Programme which is an exercise and education based 12 week weight loss programme supported by the SPFL Football Trust. The programme has been independently verified by Strathclyde University as being a successful health improvement programme and this was borne out by the 12 attendees on the first Cowden Course.
Over the course of the 12 weeks, the Cowden Team received a number of health information inputs and took part in various exercise activities including participation in a FFiT Football Tournament played at the Falkirk Stadium.

Following this highly successful first programme and with support from Cowdenbeath Area Committee, it is intended to run another programme starting early September utilising Lochgelly High School. Names are now being taken of those interested in attending. To qualify, you need to be Male, aged 35 – 65 with a waist size of at least 38” .
