Mixed Fortunes for 19s and Reserves
Mixed Fortunes for 19s and Reserves
Posted April 1, 2014
The reserves and 19s have had mixed fortunes in their respective League Cup campaigns over the last few days. On Sunday afternoon the 19s ran out convincing 4-0 winners over neighbours East Fife at Dunfermline High School with both Ben Anthony and Craig Johnston both hitting doubles.
The young strikers were also both on target in Monday nights reserve game at Central Park against Dundee. The visitors stormed into a 3-0 lead through goals from Thomas Carberry, Lee Cameron and Cameron Kerr in the opening 26 minutes.
We put in a much improved second half performance with Johnston pulling a goal back with 12 minutes to go before Anthony got a second in the closing minute.
This coming Sunday the 19s have an away game against Arbroath with the venue and kick off still to be confirmed. The reserves meanwhile have an away game against East Fife at New Bayview on Tuesday night.
