A strong Cowden side ran out convincing 3-0 winners over Alloa at Recreation Park on Monday night to move into second place in their Reserve League Cup group.
Although they dominated the first half in an almost one way procession on the Wasps goal it wasn't until the 42nd minute that Craig Johnston eventually broke the deadlock before Jon Robertson volleyed home a second goal on the stroke of half time.
Thomas O'Brien added a third goal shortly after the restart and only a fine performance from Alloa keeper Mikey Couser prevented a more emphatic win for Craig Wight's side.
