MATCH PREVIEW – ALLOA ATHLETIC

Match day 27 in the Championship see’s us return to Central Park to face Alloa Athletic after last week’s defeat at Livingston.

Alloa won the first two meetings of the season. Back in August goals from Ben Gordon, Andy Kirk and Eddie Ferns helped them to a 3-1 win at the Recs with Kane Hemmings getting our goal.

The return game; at Central Park in November saw a 2-0 win for the visitors with Kevin Cawley and Kirk scoring in the first half.
However a goal from Kane Hemmings gave us a 1-0 win on our return to Clackmananshire at the New Year.

Since that last meeting with the Wasps Paul Hartley resigned as manager and was replaced by former Dundee boss Barry Smith.
Alloa currently sit in seventh place and five points ahead of us and Jimmy Nicholl will be looking for all three points to take us within two points of the visitors, a win would also take us to within a point of local rivals Raith Rovers who are on Scottish Cup duty on Saturday.

Kane Hemmings, who has scored our two goals against Alloa this season, will once again sit out the game with his hamstring injury and will be joined by Jon Robertson who serves a one game suspension. However Lewis Milne may recover in time to re- join the squad along with Kenny Adamson who served a one game ban last week.
