COWDENBEATH 2 LIVINGSTON 3
The new Jimmy Nicholl era at Central Park got off to a disappointing start on Saturday afternoon when we lost a two goal lead for the second successive home game.
After a goal less first half which saw us lose skipper John Armstrong (shoulder injury) and Jamie Stevenson (calf injury) we broke the deadlock ten minutes into the second period when Kane Hemmings slotted home a cross from Kenny Adamson.
Things got even better in 69 minutes when Hemmings put us two goals up when Greg Stewart played the ball through for Kane to run in and coolly slot the ball past Darren Jamieson.
The Englishman was denied his hat trick soon after with Jamieson diving to block a goal bound effort then the tide turned in 77 minutes when Marc McNulty headed home from a Danny Denholm cross.
Ten minutes later Andy Barrowman grabbed an equaliser nodding the ball home from close range after keeper Grant Adam failed to hold a corner. As the game went into injury time McNulty grabbed a dramatic winner for the visitors two minutes into stoppage time firing home after Barrowman's initial effort was blocked by Adam.
The result leaves us still in 9th place in the Championship two points ahead of Morton who lost 2-1 to Dundee. We are however now seven points behind Queen of the South and Dumbarton.
Next up for Nicholl's side is an away game at joint league leaders Dundee next Saturday which is followed with a derby game against Raith Rovers at Starks Park.
