MATCH PREVIEW – ALLOA ATHLETIC

After two successive Saturday’s playing in Dumbarton we make a welcome return to Central Park when we face Alloa on Saturday with a 3 p.m. kick off.

It was a case of mixed fortunes in our games with Dumbarton gaining a valuable Championship point but bowing out of the Scottish Cup.

In our previous game with Alloa back in August we went down 3-1 to newly promoted Wasps.

Ben Gordon opened the scoring for the home side five minutes after the interval with Kane Hemmings quickly equalising.

The turning point however was an Andrew Russell shot bouncing off the underside of the crossbar with keeper Scott Bain beaten.

Soon after veteran Andy Kirk restored Alloa’s lead and as we chased an equaliser sub Eddie Fern’s sealed his sides win with a late goal.
