MATCH PREVIEW – LIVINGSTON

After last week’s narrow defeat to Championship leaders Hamilton at New Douglas Park we face another away game on Saturday afternoon when we face bottom of the table Livingston at the Energy Assets Arena with a 3 p.m. kick off.

Quite a few of our side make the trip over the River Forth having turned out for the West Lothian side.

Kenny Adamson made a handful of appearances for the Livingston first team after coming through their youth system while fellow defender David Cowan was part of their Third Division Championship winning side in 2010.

Both Jordan Morton and Andrew Russell were at Livingston last season and will be looking to put one over their former side.

COWDEN FORM

So far this season we have won two and lost four in our Championship games. We are still looking for our first away win of the campaign after losing at Morton, Alloa and Hamilton.

LIVINGSTON FORM

Sitting just a point behind us in the table, the Lions have taken four points from their two games played under new manager John McGlynn, although they bowed out of the League Cup on Wednesday night losing 2-1 to Premiership side Motherwell.

McGlynn’s first game in charge a fortnight ago saw a 2-2 home draw with Morton although they had been 2-0 ahead after just 14 minutes.

Last Saturday they came from behind to beat Dumbarton 2-1 at the Bet Butler Stadium thanks to a brace from Marc McNulty.

Prior to this Livingston had only taken a point from their opening four games under Ritchie Burke who resigned earlier this month.

The season opened with a 1-0 loss at Alloa which was followed by a home 3-3 draw with Queen of the South.

Burke’s last two games in charge saw successive 3-0 defeats at home to Falkirk and at Dundee.
