Derek Nicholson's young side picked up their first points of the season at Kettle Park on Sunday morning. It took only four minutes for the deadlock to be broken when Reece Sawers sent over a cross which was headed home at the back post by Blair Springhall.

Playing down the slope and with the wind at their back the youngsters came close to adding to their tally in the first half and with the reverse condition's for the second 45 minutes turned in a solid defensive display to keep the home sides chances of an equaliser minimal.
