In an exciting game at Central Park on Saturday a last gasp goal from Kane Hemmings gave us our first Championship win of the season to move off the foot of the table.

Jamie Stevenson opened the scoring after 21 minutes but had to be replaced minutes later after picking up a knock but Cowden enjoyed most of the play in the first 45 minutes and could have went in for the break with a greater score line.

Like last season under Ian Murray the Sons never gave up and two long range efforts from Chris Turner in a 13 minute period saw the take the lead.

However in 72 minutes the returning Jon Robertson capped a fine third 'debut' for us when he picked up on a defensive error to run in and chip home our equaliser.

In a dramatic closing minute of the match Jordan Morton, who had replaced the injured Stevenson, was brought down in the box but his resultant penalty was saved by keeper Jamie Ewings.

However the drama was not over and Hemmings slotted home a fine individual goal seconds later to give us a welcome three points.
