The Blue Brazil will host Greenock Morton in the 1st round of the Co-operative Insurance Cup.
The draw for the Cup, which was won by Celtic last season, was made at Hampden Park on Thursday and the 1st tie will be played at Central Park on Saturday 1st August 2009.
Cowden now know that they will open season 2009/10 with two cup ties against Peterhead (MG ALBA Cup, Saturday 25th July, Balmoor) and Greenock Morton (Co-operative Insurance Cup, Saturday 1st August, Central Park) before kicking-off the Irn-Bru 3rd Division campaign on Saturday 8th August, league fixtures will be released at the end of June.
