MATCH PREVIEW – PARTICK THISTLE
We take a break from the Championship on Tuesday evening when we head to Glasgow to face Premiership side Partick Thistle in the Second Round of the League Cup with a 7.45 p.m. kick off.
Our only win so far this season came in the previous round when League 2 side Berwick Rangers were brushed aside at Shielfield Park with Kane Hemmings bagging a hat trick in the 5-0 win with Kyle Miller and Greg Stewart also on target.
COWDEN FORM
Once again luck wasn’t on our side on Saturday with Andy Russell seeing a shot crash off the crossbar when the score was level at Alloa where the Wasps scored two late goals to take the points.
PARTICK THISTLE FORM
The Jags sit in seventh place in the Premiership with five points from four games. On Saturday they suffered their first defeat of the campaign going down 1-0 at Motherwell.
In their previous games they beat Ross County 3-1 and drew with both Dundee United (0-0) and Hearts (1-1).
In the First Round of the League Cup they beat Ayr United 2-1 at Firhill.
