A hat trick from recent signing Kane Hemmings saw us progress into the second round of the League Cup at Shielfield Park on Saturday afternoon.

 

After being denied by keeper Grant minutes previously Hemmings struck twice before the break and although the League 2 side had an early flurry at the start of the second half Kyle Miller put us further ahead.

 

Greg Stewart then made it 4-0 with his first touch of the ball after coming off the bench before Hemmings completed his first senior hat trick in the closing minutes.

 

The game also saw 16 year old full time trainee Liam Dunn make his first team debut in the closing minutes replacing David Cowan. Dunn only originally travelled with the squad to primarily help kit man Darren Adamson but was drafted into the squad when Thomas O'Brien had to drop out suffering a neck injury.
