COWDENBEATH U19 3 MONTROSE U19 2

 

Following Sunday's win over Montrose at Dunfermline High School Derek Nicholson's under 19 side have a big showdown with local rivals East Fife to see who will join Forfar Athletic, Hamilton and Livingston in the Semi Finals of the League Cup.

 

Two goals from Jack Nicholson either side of an own goal from Andrew Puttullo saw us 3-0 up against the Gable Endies who scored twice late on in the game through Russell Young and Ryan Cameron.

 

In the day's other game East Fife ran out narrow 2-1 winners over Berwick Rangers at Kingskettle to remain a point ahead of us in the group so nothing less than a win will be gooed enough for the Cowden youngsters when they meet at Kettle Park on Sunday afternoon.
