Loan update

Posted October 21, 2009

Cowden keeper Kris Bower, who recently joined junior side Oakley United on loan until the new year, has impressed during his short spell with the Blairwood Park side. The 21-year old, who signed for the Blue Brazil in the summer from Rosyth Recreation under 21s, has been an ever present since his September move and was man of the match on Saturday as his side knocked junior big guns Linlithgow Rose out of the Fife and Lothians Cup.

Bower's team mates at Oakley include fellow Cowden loanees Chris King and Mark Forbes. Both players are part of the full-time youth set-up at Central Park and have received rave reviews as they continue to develop their game with regular 1st team football.

Meanwhile, 18-year old Derek Wallace, who is on loan with Dundonald Bluebell, recently scored for the Bluebell in a 3-0 win over Newburgh after firing high into the net following a 'brilliant piece of skill'.
