COWDENBEATH ‘A’ 0 LIVINGSTON ‘A’ 3
Three second half goals send us down to a defeat from group leaders Livingston at Central Park in our Reserve League Cup tie.
The game marked the return of both Colin Cameron and Liam Cusack following their injuries with the later getting a full 90 minutes under his belt following his lengthy lay off.
Both sides had their chances of breaking the deadlock in a goal less first half with the first chance of the night falling to Coult who after being set up by Cusack sent his shot straight a keeper Jamieson.
At the other end Lander headed just wide from a Tufail cross while Russell sent a shot just over the bar.
Coult then saw a shot headed clear at the expense of a corner while a good run down the wing saw Hall send the over to Cusack whose shot was held by Jamieson.
At the first half drew to a close Gray saw a shot come off the bar while a Coult free kick just drifted over.
Two goals at the start of the second half put the visitor in control however. Within four minutes of the restart Gray was brought down in the box by Wilson and Jack Dowie slotted home the resulting spot kick.
With 56 minutes gone Dowie got his second goal of the night when he shot home from 12 yards.
Soon after Coult intercepted a short pass back but his shot was saved by Jamieson and as the game drew to a close Wilson done well to deny Mullen while Hurst turned another Coult effort past the post.
In the dying seconds the visitors grabbed a third goal when Kamran Tufail slotted the ball home from close range.
