MATCH PREVIEW – AIRDRIE UNITED

We continue our run of home games when we welcome Airdrie United to Central Park on Saturday afternoon with a 3 p.m. kick off.
After drawing with Hamilton Accies at Central Park last Saturday manager Colin Cameron will be looking to go one better this week as we look to catch up to the teams just above us in the league.
New signing from Port Vale Sean McAllister will go into the squad after playing in the mid-week reserve game at Stenhousemuir, while Mark Ramsay built up his fitness with a 90 minute run out in the 3-2 win over the Warriors second string.

We are unbeaten in our three previous meetings with the Diamonds following a win and two draws.
Back in September we ran out 3-0 winners over the Diamonds at the Excelsior Stadium thanks to goals from Kyle Miller, Lewis Coult and Marc McKenzie, while the Diamonds ended the game with ten men after Marc Warren was sent off midway through the second half.

The return game at Central Park in November saw a 1-1 draw with Greg Stewart opening the scoring with 20 minutes to go before Gregor Buchanan got the Diamonds equaliser eight minutes later.
Our return to the Excelsior Stadium also saw a 1-1 draw with Dean Brett opening the scoring after just three minutes and Ryan Donnelly midway through the second half.

MATCH SPONSORS – RONALD GRAHAM GROUP.

AIRDRIE UNITED FORM
It has been a tough season for Jimmy Boyle’s side in the Irn Bru First Division after being promoted on the eve of the season after Rangers were elected to the Third Divison.
After a bright start which saw then win their opening two games the Diamonds have slipped to the bottom of the table and are currently five points behind second bottom Dumbarton having played two more games than the Sons.
The Diamonds away record is better than their home one with 11 of their 19 points secured away from the excelsior Stadium.
Airdrie’s three away wins in the league have come at Livingston, Dumbarton and Dunfermline where they won in min January.
Since then they have went on a run of seven games without a win with two draws and five defeats.
Last Saturday they almost broke that run when leading Dunfermline 3-1 at the Excelsior but two goals in the closing four minutes, including an injury time leveller, saw the Pars grab a point.
Airdrie’s away league record this season is
Played 13, Won 3, Drawn 2, Lost 8, Goals For 18, Goals Against 33, Points 11.
