MATCH PREVIEW – DUMBARTON
After closing February with one and a bit home games against Raith Rovers and Partick Thistle we open the month of March with an away game against Dumbarton at the Bet Butler Stadium on Saturday, kick off 3 p.m.
In the two previous meetings with the Sons this season each side has won the away fixture. Back in August goals from Lewis Coult, Greg Stewart and Marc McKenzie from the penalty spot gave us a 3-0 win on our last visit to the Rock.
However in the return game in November a goal from Mark Gilhaney gave Dumbarton their first league win of the season at Central Park.
The Sons left Central Park than afternoon with just five league points from their opening 11 games.
However the appointment of Iain Murray as player/manager has seen a dramatic change in their fortunes and they now just sit a point behind us with 23 points from 23 games.
COWDEN FORM
February proved to be a good month for us with seven points gained from the four games which were completed with wins over Falkirk and Dunfermline and a draw with Raith Rovers.
Our only defeat came in our away game at Livingston.
Our away league record so far this season is
Played 12, Won 2, Drawn 3, Lost 7, Goals For 13, Goals Against 19, Points 9.
