Our Scottish Youth Cup adventure came to an end at Rugby Park on Sunday afternoon against a slick Killie side before a crowd of 300 or so. After beating East Stirlingsire, Airdrie United and Livingston the SPL side proved to be too strong to our weakened side who were missing top scorer Jack Nicholson and Ben Anthony due to suspension while Lewis Milne has now of course become a first team regular.

 

Goals from Chis Johnston, Jude Winchester and Lee Ashcroft had the home side three up at the break and further goals from Robbie Muirhead, Johnston with his second goal of the afternoon and Rory McKenzie gave the home side a convincing win.

 

It was a great effort by our young players to reach the last eight of the national competiton and now they have the remainder of their SFL League Cup games to look forward to in the coming weeks.
