Despite taking the lead for the sixth successive match we left Firhill pointless as the Jags fought back to keep on the tail of league leaders Morton. Loan Ranger Kane Hemmings had given us a dream start with his second Cowden goal after just nine minutes but Steven Craig who had got the winner in the Ramsdens Cup Semi Final levelled the score after 25 minutes before Conrad Balatoni scored what proved to be the winner a minute from the interval.
With Dumbarton beating Hamilton Accies 3-1 at the Bet Butler Stadium we have now slipped down to ninth place in the Irn Bru SFL First Division.
This Saturday we however quickly have the chance to gain revenge for our third successive defeat against Jackie McNamara's side when we host the Jags at Central Park in a re-arranged game with a 3 p.m. kick off.
