HAMILTON ACADEMICAL 2 COWDENBEATH 1
Two goals in the space of four minutes just after the hour mark saw our four game unbeaten run come to an end at New Douglas Park on Saturday.
Loan Ranger Kane Hemmings had given us the lead after 24 minutes when he fired home via the underside of the crossbar.
But for the fifth successive game we were unable to hold onto a half time lead with Jonathan Page grabbing an equaliser after 61 minutes and four minutes later Stevie May grabbed a winner for Accies with a 30 yard shot which flew into the top corner of the Cowden net.
The home side were reduced to ten men when Alan Neil was sent off for a second meeting but the ten men held out to claim all three points.
It was a bad day all round for Cowden with Airdrie drawing level on points with us following their 3-1 win at Dunfermline while Dumbarton are now just three points behind following their 2-0 home win over Partick Thistle.
