Hard Work Earns a Home Point

Posted January 5, 2013

COWDENBEATH 1 MORTON 1

We extended our unbeaten run to four games with a fourth successive draw against Morton who had started the afternoon as league leaders. Our three new signings, Liam Caddis, Kane Hemmings and Sam Stanton all went straight into the team to make their debuts.

It was on loan Liam Caddis who broke the deadlock with 37 minutes gone when he latched onto a defence splitting pass from player/manager Colin Cameron and coolly fired a powerful left footed shot into the corner of the visiting net.

The visitors got back on level terms six minutes after the interval when Peter McDonald picked up a clearance from Adamson and fired home an angled drive.

Despite drawing we remain level on points with Hamilton who we meet at New Douglas Park next Saturday following their home draw with Falkirk and moved a point further away from Airdrie and Dumbarton who both lost to Raith Rovers and Dunfermline respectively.

Off the park Zeph Thomas, who was transfer listed during the week, has now left Central Park by mutual consent.
