Posted December 17, 2012

Cowden and Beath go Tops

High flying Beath High School senior football team are vying for top spot in the Fife Schools league having won every game this season thus far and they are now looking like winners too, courtesy of Cowdenbeath Football Club who supplied the squad with new Club Rain Tops before their game with Waid Academy on Tues (11th Dec)

PE Teacher Gary Cunningham who manages the School Team said
“This is a fantastic gift to the boys by Cowdenbeath Football Club. The boys are delighted with the tops and it really presents a professional image when they run out on the pitch kitted out with the tops. On behalf of the Senior Football Team, I would like to thank the guys at Cowdenbeath football Club for this very kind donation.”

The tops were handed over by Cowden Chief Executive John Lints who said
“Cowdenbeath FC are delighted to be involved with Beath High School and able to help out by supplying Club Umbro Rain Tops. When we heard the boys needed new tops, we contacted our supplier Football Nation who quickly sourced and delivered the kit. The boys certainly look good and its great they are wearing the Club Badge. We are always looking for ways to become involved in the community and what better way than to support our local High School.”

Also looking on was Cowden Manager Colin Cameron who added
“Its great to see the local school football team in Cowden colours and doing so well in their league campaign. Hopefully the work the Club is doing with the school will in the years ahead assist in producing future Cowden players.”
