Central Park Pitch Update

Posted November 30, 2012

As of tea time Friday the club are cautiously optimistic that Saturday’s William Hill Scottish Cup Fourth Round tie with St Johnstone will go ahead.

Speaking to the Blue Brazil Online office manager John Cameron said “On Wednesday we partially covered some of the Central Park pitch with our own pitch protection covers, but this afternoon St Johnstone kindly loaned us some of their covers and now the surface is fully covered.”

“It is a great gesture from the Saints loaning us the covers and kit man Darren Adamson and some of our young players travelled up to Perth to collect them and we have had a team of volunteers laying them this afternoon.”

Also thanks to local company the Purvis Group we are having hot air blowers delivered and hopefully they will remove the frost from parts of the pitch which are affected.
John concluded “There will be a pitch inspection at 11 a.m. on Saturday morning but we are looking for volunteers to help remove the covers from the pitch from 8.30 a.m. onwards and any help given from our loyal band of supporters is as always much appreciated.”

Lets get this game on!
