As preperations for next season's First Divison campaign get underway seven players have been released by the club with all of the other out of contact players being offered terms for the forthcoming season.
The seven released players are
YOUSSEF BEJAOUI
The big keeper was signed in July from East of Scotland League side Whitehill Welfare and played in our opening seven league and cup games before losing his place to Thomas Flynn. With Flynn in good form 'Yossi' spent the remainder of the campaign as back up keeper before spending the last six weeks of the season on loan at Berwick Rangers.
STEVEN BENNETT
The 20 year old defender joined the clubs youth system in December 2007 from Syngenta Juveniles after spells with Livingston and Falkirk. Steven had a spell on loan at Bellshill Athletic in season 2010-11 and spent most of the season farmed out to his home town club Bo'ness United and Kirkintilloch Rob Roy.
PAUL BYRNE
Signed by Jimmy Nicholl in September 2010 after a previous spell with Airdrie United. Paul found his first team appearances restricted playing in only 2 (+ 2 sub) games the last of which was the 2-2 draw at Brechin last month. He spent the first half of the season on loan to junior side Livingston United.
DENE DROUDGE
Originally with Livingston, Dene joined us in May 2007 from Spartans under 17 sqaud and worked his way through the ranks at Central Park playing in 37 (+ 4 sub) games for us scoring once after a loan spell at Kelty Hearts. The 23 year old spent most of the last few seasons sidelined by injury and was loaned out to junior side Dundonald Bluebell in October.
DANNY MACKAY
Another youngster who has seen his career suffer though injury. The 20 year old was orignally with Hibernian before joining our youth academy in August 2005.
A member of the under 17 side which beat Queen's Park in the 2008 League Cup Final Danny broke through into the first team the following season and was a regular in the team which was eventually promoted from the Third Divison.
Danny was injured in the play off semi final first leg at Ochilview against East Stirlingshire and has been sidelined for most of the time since after playing in 24 (+4 sub) games although he went out on loan to Dundonald Bluebell for a spell late in season 2010/11.
Two of the under 19 squad were also released - former Dunfermline Athletic and Motherwell youngster ZANE POWELL and ANESU TABENGWA who joined us from Raith Rovers in September.
We thank all of the players for their services and wish them well for the future.
