Cowdenbeath Football Club is pleased to announce the launch of the youth player and coaches sponsorship scheme for season 2009/10. Cowden have been running a successful youth policy for well over a decade now and currently operate four teams at Scottish Football League Youth Initiative level: Under 19s, 16s, 14s and 13s. To assist the club in meeting the costs of running the youth academy, we are once again offering the opportunity to sponsor a youth player (or coach) via the official website and match day programme.
The cost for 2009/10 is a bargain £50 (including VAT) for full sponsorship. For this your name will be displayed on your chosen player’s/backroom staff’s profile on the official website and listed in the match day programme for the duration of the season. For £100 (including VAT) - with the above benefits - you can also have a replica shirt signed by your chosen player. Players and coaches from all age groups - 19s down to13s - are available to sponsor, including the youth players out on loan.

Dene Droudge, Scott Linton and Jon Robertson are recent graduates from the youth set up and are now first team regulars. In addition, current youth team players Danny Mackay (pictured), Peter Bradley and John Ferguson have all made an impact for the 1st team recently. Players who have progressed through the youth system in the past before moving on to a higher league have included Alan Combe, Garry Wood, Graeme Brown, Liam Buchanan and Stephen Husband.
