After their high scoring midweek win over Dundee the youngsters had to settle for a goal less draw against Alloa this afternoon at Treaton Pak.

With 13 minutes gone Robinson came close to breaking the deadlock but his angled shot was cleared by a defender.

Wasps Stevenson then saw a shot turned around the post by Keeper Wilson. At the other end Ferguson saw a 30 yard shot held by Ritchie while Robinson fired in a curing shot which carried just past the post.

As the opening period drew to a close Ferguson once again came close as did McCabe.

The opening minute of the second half saw Brett fire a cross in to the visitor’s box but Emslie’s header was saved by Ritchie.

As the game went on a goal less out come seemed likely but both sides had their chances to snatch all three points.

With 15 minutes to go Thomson of the Wasps fired in a low shot which Wilson done well to reach and turn round his post and minutes later Ferguson saw a low 20 yard drive whisk just past the upright.

As the game went into the closing minutes McCabe came close with a header from a Brett cross which went inches over the bar.

In injury time the Wasps were reduced to ten men when Thomson was red carded for this second yellow card after a foul on Brett.
