A goal on his home debut from Ben Stirling was enough to give us our first league win of the season and saw us move into fourth place.
There were three changes to the side which had started at Elgin with Rutherford and Miller coming back into the line -up along with Brad Smith who featured as a trialist.
Our first chance of the afternoon came after just three minutes when a run down the left wing saw Rutherford sent the ball over to Muirhead but his shot went wide of goal.
Then Brad Smith made a run into the City box but a timely challenge from Beattie stopped him in his tracks before he could lay the ball of to Muirhead.
Midway through the half Stirling saw a shot blocked by Antell, while at the other end a Thomson shot was held by McGovern.
The deadlock was broken with 29 minutes gone when Muirhead sent a cross into the box for Ben STIRLING to slot home from close range.
In a game of few clear cut chances the visitors came more into the match during the second half without creating much chances.
Rodger headed wide eight minutes into the second half while a shot from Beattie was cleared off the line by Pyper.
However with a minute to go we could have grabbed a second when Connelly set off Buchanan but his return ball was missed by the young forward and the chance was gone.
