A professional Cowden performance ensured a comfortable win against nine-man Bo'ness United and safe passage into the William Hill Scottish Cup 4th round draw.
The game was very much a potential banan skin but the team overcame the rutted playing surface to cruise into the next round.
The opening exchanges were even but a straight red card for Ryan Scanlon on 24 minutes swung the game in favour of the away side and a Jon Robertson header broke the deadlock 14 minutes later.
The Blue Brazil strolled the remainder of the game but it took the introduction of Lewis Coult on 61 minutes to wrap up the win. It was the case of cometh the hour, cometh the Flamingo with Scott Linton (66) doubling the advantage from a pin point Coult assist and the big striker scored the 3rd with a cheeky spot kick three minutes from time, after winning the penalty himself.
Thomas Flynn had a very quite afternoon with Bo'ness' only chance brilliantly headed off the line by Thomas O'Brien.
The home side's Stuart Hunter was sent off late on for viloent conduct.
