Central Park hosts the game of the season to date on Saturday and the pre-match and half-time entertainment will ensure a carnival atmosphere!
Bluebell the Coo and helpers have been busy putting together a family-focussed action-packed line up that will include a primary school penalty kick competition, a samba band, Z-dc Dance Troupe and cheerleaders.
The penalty competition will kick off proceedings at 12 noon with 13 primary schools from Cowdenbeath, Benarty, Lumphinans, Lochgelly, Hill of Beath, Kelty and Crossgates competing with the winners taking home a full-set of the 2011/12 Umbro Cowdenbeath home kit - generously donated by Cowden director Neil Fentie - for the school team. The format will see 3 pupils from each school taking part.
The fun will continue at 1.15pm with the Samba band taking centre stage before Stacey Keenan's Z-dc Dance Troupe make a welcome return to Central Park at 1.30pm. Cheerleaders from the same group will entertain crowd 5 minutes before kick off.
The Samba band will make an encore appearance at half-time and will be joined by the Cowdenbeath U'14 team who will be taking part in a half-way line, 10 seconds to score challenge. The wining primary school will also receive their prize during the interval.
