Blue Brazil TV - What's on

PostedMarch 25, 2011

You can now tune into part 1 of a short documentary called Saints and Winners. The feature catches up with members of the Cowden coaching team and squad who stepped up to the SPL with St. Mirren following Cowden's successful promotion campaign last season. Part 2 will follow in the next couple of days.

Danny Lennon and his team won remarkable back-to-back promotions between 2008 and 2010 with the play off win against Brechin City last May securing the Blue Brazil's place in the 1st Division for the first time in almost two decades. As a result Lennon, one of Cowden's most successful managers ever, became one of the most sought after young coaches in Scottish football and was appointed manager of St. Mirren in June 2010. Lennon's backroom team - Iain Jenkins, Alan Cotton and Andy Quinn - joined him at St. Mirren Park and the manager also offered players Darren McGregor, Gareth Wardlaw, Paul McQuade and Peter Bradley the opportunity to step up to full-time football in the top flight. The documentary features Lennon, Cotton, McGregor and McQuade as they talk about their successful time with Cowden.
