Greenock Morton ran out deserved winners at rain swept Cappielow on Saturday afternoon as Cowdebeath's losing and goalless run continued to 5 games.
New signing Lewis Coult made his debut as part of a front three alongside John Ferguson and the impressive Greg Stewart (pictured) but it was the home side that took the lead through David O'Brien (31) after an error by Craig Winter.
The Blue Brazil were still very much in the game but a deflected effort from Allan Jenkins 9 minutes after the break put Morton firmly in the driving seat and a Brian graham goal 3 minutes later killed the game.
Jimmy Nicholl's team are due to play at home for the first time in two months next weekend with Partick Thistle the visitors.
