Sean Signs

We have today completed the signing of Sean Guiney following his release from Newtongrange Star.

The 30 year old centre back featured in our pre-season fixtures as a loan player and we now welcome him to Central Park on a permanent basis.

Manager Dougie Hill commented "Sean is a player I’ve known for a long time. He will be good in the changing room, very good in both boxes, he’s always willing to learn and will push our centre backs for a starting position. He’s coming from a lower level but it’s fair to say he’s been a success everywhere he has played - we hope he is also a success here."

Sean also shared his thoughts, "I’m really looking forward to playing in the Lowland League again, a competitive league which I think will bring out the best in me. Everyone has been really welcoming since I’ve been here. We have a great group and hopefully we can have a successful season together. I’d like to thank to my old gaffer, Paul, for allowing me to take up this opportunity and wish him and everyone at Newtongrange Star the best of luck for the season ahead."
