It’s a familiar venue but a new opponent as we head to Broadwood Stadium to face Cumbernauld Colts on Saturday with a 3pm kick off.
In its 29 years, we have faced Clyde on many occasions and earlier this season Open Goal Broomhill. However this is the first time we have faced the Colts at the stadium. Although Colts are a recent addition to the senior ranks they have been part of the former new town since 1969 as a juvenile set up growing up hand in hand with the town.
We have however met David Proctor’s side on two occasions this season at Central Park. Firstly in the South Challenge Cup in August when we were still adjusting to life in the Lowland League we went down 2-0 with Craig Holmes and Stephen O’Neill getting first half goals for the Colts.
They returned to Central Park in November for a league game and a David Struthers goal late in the match gave us a 1-0 win.
Iain Davidson serves the second game of his suspension and misses the trip to North Lanarkshire.
