It’s a second successive away game as we head to the Dumbarton Stadium this afternoon to face Rangers B with a 3pm kick off.
The young Rangers side sit fourth in the table three points behind East Kilbride who moved into top spot last night following their 2-1 win over Celtic B.
The Gers opened their campaign with a 2-1 defeat from Civil Service Strollers at Christie Gillies Park. Lewis McKinnon had given the Wee Gers the lead but a brace from former Cowden man Euan Valentine kept the points in Muirhouse.
Since then, our hosts have won their subsequent three games. Firstly East Kilbride were beaten 4-3 at K Park. A late comeback proved to be too late for Kilby. Goals from Zac Lovelace, Ritchie Hosler and Robbie Fraser had the Wee Gers three up before Neil McLaughlin pulled a goal back for the home side. Connor Young restored Rangers two goal advantage and Connor Young made it 4-1 before a late goal rally from EK with Conor Morgan and Daniel McManus on the score sheet.
Next up was another high scoring encounter when they won 6-3 against Cumbernauld Colts at Broadwood. Charlie McCann with a penalty, Connor Young and Zak Lovelace had the Wee Gers three up after 24 minutes. Colts pulled a goal back through a Craig Holmes penalty but goals from Charlie Lindsay and Lewis McKinnon made it 5-1 for the visitors, then Regan McLaren hit a brace for the Colts in between Arron Lyall getting the Gers sixth.
Then on Tuesday night they had a 3-0 home win over The Spartans with Ross McCausland, Robbie Ure and Connor Allan getting the goals.
