Struthers Is Our Saturday Signing

Today Maurice Ross arranged for David Struthers to put pen to paper and join Cowdenbeath FC for next season.

18 year old David has come through the ranks of the highly respected St Mirren youth academy which he first joined in 2014. We really look forward to having him with us at Central Park for the season ahead. David generally plays on the flank in midfield.

After signing he shared his initial thoughts as follows, "I’m really grateful the club has given me this opportunity to progress and develop my career. I’m looking forward to the challenges ahead and hopefully playing a part in the club's success going forward."

Manager Maurice Ross explained the background to today's signing, "David is a lad that I heard great things about from St Mirren coach Ross Patterson. When I saw the lad in the exit trials he was the one player on the pitch I thought, oh I like him!! We have ourselves a versatile unit who will improve month on month - of that I have confidence! A great lad with a bright future!"
