We look to continue our four game unbeaten run this afternoon as we welcome Edinburgh City to Central Park with a 3pm kick off.
Our 3-2 win at Annan last Saturday left us with a fighting chance but it is still a case of winning our three remaining games and Elgin lose theirs.
Our games with promotion chasing City have seen a draw and two narrow defeats and perhaps we deserved more from those encounters. Back in October on a wet night the sides fought out a 1-1 draw at Ainslie Park with Danny Handling giving City an early lead which was cancelled out by Kris Renton with seven minutes to go.
The return game at Central Park just before Christmas saw a depleted City side run out 2-1 winners. John Robertson opened the scoring for the visitors just after the break with Liam Buchanan getting a deserved equaliser before Scott Reekie headed home a late winner.
The third meeting of the sides in February saw Ryan Shanley get the only goal of the night just before the interval.
