Today we welcome Stranraer to Central Park with a 3pm kick off in what is the only Cinch League Two game this weekend.

Maurice Ross will be looking to build on last week's win at Stenhousmuir knowing that a win over the Blues would take us to within six points of Albion Rovers and Elgin City who are both idle due to their opponents being on Scottish Cup duty.

It will however be a tough task against a side who have already beaten us twice this season. Back on the last day of August Stranraer had a late comeback at Central Park after Liam Buchanan had given us the lead early in the second half with Josh Rennie equalising with seven minutes to go before Grant Gallagher struck a last minute winner.

The return game at Stair Park saw first half goals from Matty Yates and Tommy Muir give the Blues a 2-0 win.

Since that wet afternoon Stranraer have gone on a winless run with two draws and three defeats.

Goal scoring hasn’t been a problem as they have hit the opponents net five times in the last two games but conceded six. Stranraer sit in seventh place in the league table just three points short of the promotion play off places.
