Following the match v Brechin City on 14 December, Cowdenbeath FC were charged by the SFA last week (along with Brechin) with infringing Disciplinary Rule 204. This related to the incident that arose in the final minute after Cowdenbeath scored their goal. The charge in essence was that Cowdenbeath FC did not prevent their players and team staff from being involved in a confrontation with our opponents as well as in a hostile and argumentative situation.
Cowdenbeath FC admitted the offence and submitted a plea in mitigation. The club was censured plus a £1000 fine was imposed on a suspended basis contingent on the club not reoffending under the same rule before the end of the current season.
