After finishing in tenth place in Ladbrokes League Two we kick off the first leg of our play off with Lowland League champions East Kilbride at K-Park on Saturday afternoon with a 3 p.m. kick off.
After winning the Lowland League seven points ahead of runner up East Stirlingshire Martin Lauchlan's side over come Highland League champions Buckie Thistle 4-3 on aggregate to earn their place in the final.
The league campaign saw Kilby win 24 of their 30 games with three draws and three defeats. The three sides to beat them were Spartans 1-0 at Ainslie Park in November, Cumbernauld Colts 1-0 at K-Park in December and the Shire 3-2 on the last day at Ochilview after the title had been clinched.
We have of course already met this season in the Scottish Cup at Central Park when an early goal from Joao Vitoria gave them a 1-0 win before narrowly losing at Stranraer in the next round.
Although we found ourselves bottom of the table we came within touching difference of catching ninth place following an upturn in fortunes following the appointment of Gary Locke as manager and 16 points were gained from the 11 games which followed after he was announced as manager.
One player missing from Saturday's game at K-Park is Shaun Rutherford who lost his appeal against his sending off against Forfar a fortnight ago.
