MATCH PREVIEW - FORFAR ATHLETIC (A).
Posted August 12, 2016
We play our first away game in Ladbrokes League Two on Saturday when we face Forfar Athletic at Station Park with a 3 p.m. kick off. This will be our third successive away trip to Tayside after facing both Dundee United and Arbroath in the Betfred Cup.
Its the battle of the two sides relegated from League One last season and we both had contrasting fortunes in our opening matches last Saturday. While we went down 1-0 at home to Elgin the Loons enjoyed a 3-2 win over league new boys Edinburgh City at Meadowbank Stadium with goals from David Cox, Lewis Milne and Jim Lister.
However Cox, who opened the scoring from the penalty spot, will miss our visit after he was sent off along with Joe Mbu at the end of the match. Also missing from the action this week will be Kris Renton who carried over a two match suspension from his junior days.
There are quite a few familiar faces in the Forfar line up this season with the previously mentioned Milne and keeper Grant Adam both heading north in the summer to join Thomas O'Brien. The only former Loon in our camp is Greg Ross.
