More New Faces

PostedAugust 28, 2015

With the transfer deadline looming, Cowdenbeath manager Colin Nish has now concluded some further loan transfer transactions. Joining the ranks at Central Park until the end of 2015 is striker Gordon Smith on loan from Dumbarton.
Gordon is the son of the former Hearts player of the same name and brother of Kevin Smith who is now at East Fife. Gordon has featured up front for several clubs including Hearts, Livingston and Raith Rovers. Last season, he was regularly on the mark for Stirling Albion in League One and then moved to Dumbarton in the close season.
At the same time, two of Cowdenbeath's Modern Apprentices, Josh Wilson and Josh Thomson, have now been loaned out to Fife Junior side St Andrews United. With United playing in the East Region Superleague this season, the two lads will have an ideal opportunity to gain valuable experience whilst remaining available to play in our Development League fixtures.
