After two successive Championship defeats we take a break from league action on Tuesday night when we face Falkirk in the second round of the League Cup at the Falkirk Stadium (kick off 7.45 p.m.)
To reach this stage we beat League 2 side Clyde at Broadwood Stadium earlier this month 2-1 with goals from Lewis Milne and Kyle Miller cancelling out David Gray’s first half opener for the Bully Wee.
Falkirk also had to comeback from being behind in their opening round tie at Montrose who took an early lead through Garry Wood.
However goals from Blair Alston, Alex Cooper and Scott Shepherd saw Peter Houston’s side safely through.
COWDEN FORM
The win at Broadwood has been our only competitive victory so far. Since then we have draw 2-2 with the Bairns but have since lost to both Livingston and Alloa.
FALKIRK FORM
Since we met earlier this month Falkirk have lost to Rangers (0-2) but have won their last two games.
Last Tuesday night they beat Dunfermline 2-1 in the Petrofac Training Cup despite being reduced to ten men and on Saturday they beat Hibs 1-0 at Easter Road.
