Reserves & Under 19s
Posted March 7, 2014
The under 19 and reserves sides are in action on Sunday afternoon and Monday night in their respective League Cup sections. First up are the 19s who host Forfar Athletic at Dunfermline High School on Sunday afternoon with a 1.30 p.m. kick off.
While we find ourselves in joint second place the Loons haven't had the best of starts to their campaign and sit bottom of the table with only a point from their four games which came in a 3-3 draw with leaders Arbroath. Since then they have lost to Dundee (5-6), Stirling Albion (3-6) and East Fife (2-3).
The game provides Derek Nicholson's side the opportunity to go top of the table, and gain revenge for a 4-0 league at Station Park in December, as both Stirling Albion and Arbroath go head to head.
On Monday night the reserves head to Recreation Park to face leaders Alloa Athletic with a 7.30 p.m. kick off. After finishing bottom of the Reserve League the Wasps have had a good start to their League Cup campaign with three wins against Raith Rovers (3-1), East Stirlingshire (4-1) and Dundee (3-2).
In the league meeting between the sides back in November we ran out 7-1 winners at Recreation Park.
