Once again we will be entering a team in the SPFL Under 19 Youth Division a division that we have been the only continual members of since the league was formed in season 1993/94.
This season we are one of 14 members of the Youth Division with Celtic entering a team for the first time since season 1997/98. We are due to meet the Glasgow side in mid October at home.
The league fixtures however kick off on Sunday 25th August with a home game against last season's champions Queen's Park with the venue and kick off time to be confirmed.
The youth system at Central Park has seen many players go onto play first team football for Cowden with Dean Brett, Liam Callaghan, Liam Dunn, Kyle Miller, Lewis Milne, Jack Nicholson and Thomas O'Brien from this season's first team squad having all starting their careers with the youths.
