After their heavy defeat at Kirkcaldy two days previously a young reserve side fought out an entertaining draw with a youthful Warriors side at Ochilview on Thursday night.
It was Cowden who opened the scoring after 25 minutes, seconds after the home side had a penalty claim waived aside after O’Brien went down in the box.
Play quickly moved to the other end of the park and Coult slotted the ball to LewisMilne who slotted the ball past Shaw from six yards.
The home side then got a penalty just after the half hour when Aitken brought down Thomson but Barnett made a brilliant save from the forward turning his spot kick around the post.
From the resultant corner the Warriors almost grabbed an equaliser but the ball was eventually cleared off the line in a goalmouth scramble.
The home sides equalise came with 14 minutes to go when Charles Docherty broke through and lobbed the ball over the advancing Barnett from the edge of the box.
