Cowden Claim A Point At The Death

PostedApril 10, 2013

A last gasp goal from Marc McKenzie gave us what could prove to be a vital point in our quest to avoid the play off position. After going down to a early Paul Watson goal we came back into the game and got a deserved equaliser from Greg Stewart to go in at the break level.
Livingston restored their lead midway through the second half with a 35 yard shot from Craig Barr which flew into the top corner of Thomas Flynn's net but our 'never say die' attitude saw us battle right to the end when we were rewarded with an equliser.
The result saw us move a to within three points of Dumbarton who lost 2-1 at home to Raith Rovers, however with Dunfermline's 15 point deduction from the SFL after going into interim administration the Pars now lie 3 points behind us in ninth place.

Next up for Colin Cameron's side is a visit to Starks Park on Saturday to face Raith Rovers.
