Falkirk Away - Match Preview

PostedDecember 14, 2012

After sitting idle for the last two weekends we are hopeful of getting back in action on Saturday afternoon when we travel to the Falkirk Stadium to face Steven Pressley’s side.
Back in September the sides fought out a 1-1 draw at Central Park when David Weatherson gave Falkirk the lead before Lewis Coult grabbed our equaliser.
We have now gone eight league games without a win with four draws and four defeats during that period.
Our last league game was on 24th November when we lost 1-0 at Cappielow with Lewis Hawke scoring in the closing minutes for Morton.
Our away league record this season is Played 6, Won 2, drawn 1, Lost 3, Goals For 8, Goals Against 7, Points 7.
After being one of the pre- season favourites for the title the Bairns have had a slow start to their campaign and sit just above us in the table in sixth place.
Falkirk’s home league record this season is Played 6, Won 1, Drawn 3, Lost 2, Goals For 6, Goals Against 8, Points 6.
Former AFC Bournemouth youngster Lyle Taylor has scored six of Falkirk’s 15 league goals this season and nine overall since joining Falkirk from the Dorset side in the summer.
Taking charge of the match is Paul Robertson who will be assisted by Stuart Macaulay and Thomas Clark.
