Cowden At Home Against Airdrie United

After losing to Dumbarton at Central Park last Saturday we once again face one of the division’s other part time sides when we welcome Airdrie United to Central Park on Saturday, kick off 3 p.m.
In our previous meeting this season with Jimmy Boyle’s side we ran out 3-0 winners at the Excelsior Stadium with goals from Kyle Miller, Lewis Coult and Mark McKenzie.
The Diamonds make their second visit of the week to the Kingdom after crashing out of the William Hill Scottish Cup on Tuesday night at Kirkcaldy.
They currently sit in eighth place in the table just two points below us.

Last Saturday’s home defeat from Dumbarton was our seventh league game since a win during which time we have drawn three times and lost the other four games.
This week’s visitors Airdrie United were the last side we beat in the First Division back on 1st September.
AIRDRIE UNITED FORM
After winning their opening two league games the Diamonds have only won one further game away at Dumbarton on 27th October when they made a dramatic comeback after being 3-2 down going into the last few minutes of the game to eventually win 4-3.
Their away league record is Played 5 Won 2 Drawn 1 Lost 2 Goals For 7 Goals Against 13.
On Tuesday night they lost 4-3 after extra time to Raith Rovers in their William Hill Scottish Cup replay at Starks Park.
